I was in Germany and was on my way to Milan, Italy, by train, and I noticed this town out of the window. I asked the steward what the town was and she said, “Stresa”. About 2-3 weeks later, after finishing a few projects in Milan, Emiliano, my lead assistant in Europe, and I drove to Stresa and walked around taking snapshots. I really enjoy seeing the wrought iron work. Each piece having to be cut to length, heated to the point of being able to bend it in a jig one at a time by hand.

The open door with dark green shutters contrasts beautifully with the bright yellow wall, creating a charming Mediterranean esthetic. The combination of rustic architecture, bold colors, and lush plants gives the image a warm and inviting feel.
