About the Video

This cowboy advertising project was shot in Colorado mid January. The biggest issues were the cold weather and deep snow. We found an outfitter just outside of Steamboat Springs that had a lot of private land to shoot on. We used a 2 person Mule, which is a gas powered 6 wheel drive vehicle to cross the highway and up the hill to a large opening with Aspen trees on both sides of the large clearing. This was the "Pickup Truck" version, see BTS photos below.

For Photographers

The Gear:
A Canon cameras using 100 ISO using
Canon 70mm - 200mm zoom lens,
Canon 16-35mm zoom lens and a
Canon 400mm f2.8 lens all attached to an
O'Connor fluid head sitting on a set of wood sticks or a
Gitzo fluid head on a
Gitzo CF Tripod.

The Light is a combination of:
Daylight: full sun, thin overcast, very heavy overcast, light snow and heavy snow... all in about 4 hours. A real gift.
