About the image
We were very lucky weather wise on this location fashion fur photography project. I knew there would be snow on the ground, I did not realize it was going to be snowing on and off all day, a real gift for the shoot.
The biggest concern for me was keeping the model warm. About a week before we shot, I sent the model a message that we would be shooting outside and it was going to be cold. I said that she would want to bring some long underwear with her so she would not freeze. I also suggested that she bring/wear some warm shoes. Did she listen??? No, and she was unfortunately quite uncomfortable throughout the shoot. In fact we lost time due to her needing to get into the car and running the heater on the Bake setting for 5 or 6 minutes at a time. See the BTS photo (Behind the Scenes) below.
THE GEAR: Canon camera set to 1/500 second shutter speed, 160 ISO and a Canon 85mm lens set to f5.
THE LIGHT: Lumedyne 200ws battery powered pack with a Lumedyne head in a FourSquare 30 x 30 "Travel" softbox mounted onto a Manfrotto umbrella adapter and using a Sunbounce Boomstick and Sunbounce Grip head.
